This type of inspection is known as Electrical Inspection Condition Report (EICR) and should be carried out on a regular interval on all domestic properties at a maximum of 10 years, but every 5 years is best practice for reliable electrical safety.  At Barton Electrical we have been carrying out electrical inspections for a long time and this is why we consider ourselves true experts in this area.

Whether you are selling or not, it will give peace of mind if you have to make a claim on your house insurance, you will have no awkward questions from the insurer. For people who rent out properties as landlords, or someone who has just started in property management with your first buy to let it is recommended that all properties have a Electrical Condition Inspection Reports carried out on them.

This should really be no less than every 5 years and where possible always before new tenant move in.
